Love is Blind...

An exciting new project has been brewing behind the scenes of Laura Felicity, and now I'm happy to say I can reveal all!

Back in January when taking part in Home London's Trade Show, I was approached by a specialist Window Blind company based in the UK called S-Blinds, who have almost two decades experience in the blind industry including manufacturing, sales and management.

They had an idea to take made to measure blinds to the next step. They wanted to collaborate with several up and coming textile designers and work with their designs and translate them onto blinds.

'B-Inspired' is an exclusive collaboration with some of the most talented, inspirational designers in the UK that offer stunning hand drawn designs, each one recognised for their individual talent.

S-Blinds fully support and appreciate all the hard work that goes into each individual design and are proud to be displaying these designs on our products.

S-Blinds ethics behind running a British based business is very similar in how I like to run my own.  With all blinds produced here in the UK, all their collaborating designers are also British based, S-Blinds is all about choice.

The idea behind 'B-Inspired' is to offer something unique to window coverings. Most fabrics available in the market place at the moment are mass produced in China with designers getting no recognition for their hard work, this is something S-Blinds wants to be steer away from and raise awareness for the talented design we have based here in Britain.

So yes, you've guessed it they picked me out of seven other designers and now Laura Felicity now has a window blind range!

I'm very exciting about this venture, as I am always looking to develop the business and put my designs on to as many surfaces as I can.  Developing my designs onto window blinds is another perfect way for clients to have a Laura Felicity design within their home.

This exclusive collaboration is now in full swing, with already available colour ways to each design. The designers also provide a service to amend designs or colour alterations to suit customer requirements offering the ultimate bespoke service.

B-Inspired will make a fabulous feature in your home and can not be found in any high street store.

As this fabulous project develops I will post up images of the blinds in situe.

If in the meantime please take a closer look at S-Blind's site.
If have any enquiries or questions, please get in contact.

Best Wishes,

Laura Felicity

Love Is In The Air...

Hello all,

I hope you are having a lovely week.

Time is flying by again this week, especially since we had our extend weekend.  And once again I am a little delayed in getting this week's blog post out to you all.

But have no fear, I have finally delivered and I think you might slightly fall in love with what I'm about to show you.

A couple of months ago I posted about a Wedding Favour Commission I had taken on and posted up my inspirations behind the wedding favour bags.

Since then, the Wedding has been (and sadly gone!).  However, I have been able to capture the moment and taken some lovely photos of the finished articles of the favour bags I put together for the blushing bride and groom.

Whilst doing the favour bags, they also asked me to design and make their Name Place Cards and the Wedding Table Plan so everything tied in together.

I think they were right to do so, don't you...

Great News! I will shortly be introducing Bespoke Wedding Stationery to the website

In the meantime if you'd like any further information about how I can design bespoke stationery for you wedding, please get in touch!

Have a fabulous week.

Best Wishes,

Laura Felicity

A Lovely Local Boutique Called Portobello

In a blog back in March I mentioned a lovely local boutique in the next town to me called Portobello, who displayed a range of my wares within her shop as well as stock up on some Greeting Cardsfor her customers to buy.

Since then Laura Felicity and Portobello's business relationship has been going from strength to strength, and not only have my products been catching the eye of the local customers, but Portobello has also featured the Laura Felicity's Dotty Bird Wallpaper, Lampshade, Cushions, Lavender Bags and Hand Cut Alphabet Print in the window for three weeks!

Keeping to a blue colour palette, the Summer Green and Teal Dotty Bird Collection has been featured along with complimenting wallpapers, homewares and upholstery to promote Laura Felicity as a local designer as well as the services available within Portobello.

Based in Potters Bar, Portobello as a hidden gem selling beautiful gifts and homewares for all occasions, as well as a professional and extremely friendly upholstery and curtain/blind service.

If you are based in the Hertfordshire area, you must visit this lovely local boutique, to not only buy from independent businesses, but also to support.

Without loyal customers who prefer to shop unique than mass produced from large chain shops, local businesses would go under...including mine.
Which is why it's important that we start to support local and surrounding small businesses.

On Saturday 11th May Portobello will be turning one year old, and to celebrate a little party is being held at the shop consisting of pimms and nibbles, as well as something called and envelope giveaway which includes prize draws.

If you are local, go and visit on the 11th and have a wonder around.

If not, there's still a chance to be involved in their birthday celebrations!

Like the Portobello Facebook Page and be in for a chance in winning a £20 gift voucher (they have an online shop too!).

Remember to support small independent and local businesses...we need your help.

Until next Tuesday, have a lovely sunny week!

Best Wishes,

Laura Felicity
