What A Wonderful Workshop...

Hello blog fans!

How are we all?

It's been a very busy week here at LF HQ, what with Lucie and my workshop last Tuesday, followed by teaching screen printing to second year students at the University of Hertfordshire, plus putting the finishing touches to the wedding favour commission - which is this coming Sunday (photos will be up soon!), and it's not lightening up this week either.
...Not that I need to complain, because I love to feel busy and know that the business is slowly taking it's next steps in growing.

This week I want to share with you the images of last Tuesday's lino print tea party workshop.

 

Lucie and I were lucky enough again to have a wonderful workshop lot who got very creative (slightly messy with it) but overall had a great time stamp making and printing away on all surfaces, which this time round included tea towels.

 

Plus I must add my homemade brownies went down a treat!

Even though it's our second workshop, we had a great feedback from the lovely ladies, and they will hopefully be helping to spread the workshop word to their fabulous friends.

 

If you fancy having a go, Lucie and I have two more workshops on the horizon, with spaces to spare.

Screen Print Workshop Taster

Hello all!


Just before I start to get everything ready for tonight's Lino Print Tea Party, I want to spread the word about a Screen Print Workshop Taster Lucie Pritchard and I are holding at Craft Central on Tuesday 21st May, just in time for Clerkenwell Design Week.

With the Lino Print Workshops we hold at Craft Central being a success, we were approached by Craft Central and asked if we could hold a workshop for their 'Craft It Yourself' April-June events they have going on.

As we have two lino print workshops either side of this workshop date, we decided to give screen printing a go!

The class is already fully booked and it will be a great chance to see if our screen print classes work just as well as our lino print workshops!

Within the classes we will be designing and cutting out stencils and screen printing these designs onto a range of papers and (hopefully) tea towels.

If a success Lucie and I will be looking at having our own regular screen print workshop.

If you are interested in taking part in one of these workshops and would like to hear more information about them in the foreseeable future, then please get in contact!

A Date For The Diary, Made In Clerkenwell 2013

It's that time of year again!

We are entering Spring, and what does that mean? Yes you've guessed it Spring Fairs, Shows and Exhibitions gallore.

And what better way to start your Spring shopping by heading down to Craft Central HQ for their bi-annual show Made In Clerkenwell.

Not only will there be luxury goods for you to buy, ranging from jewellery, hats, ceramics and homewares, all handmade by Craft Central's very own designer-makers, a fabulous Pop Up Shop by HAM, a curated gallery showcase by Jo Davies and Haidee Drew, but you also get to browse through the studios of the artists and designers that are situated there!

It's a great way to support the independent designers of London, as well as nose around and see where all things lovely are made.

And if you're anything like me (nosey) it's fantastic to see what goes on behind close doors.

From Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th Craft Central's doors will be open to the public for all to see.

There is an entrance fee of £3, but this gets you in to two buildings, and see 90 designer-makers...bargain!

And of course I will be making an appearance with my wonderful homewares and workshop promotion.

What more can you ask for...apart from glorious Spring weather.

Make sure you put the dates in the diary now!
