Based at the Old Trewman's Brewery from 20th-23rd September 2012, Tent London is a Public and Trade Show a part of the ever popular London Design Festival.

Over the last couple of weeks we have introduced our Geometric Flower wallpaper design in all its bespoke glory with overlay options metallic foil butterflies, as well as the hand cut cream butterflies, and we gave you a sneaky peek into the world of Dotty Bird you never knew existed.

Today we want to introduce our third and final bespoke wallpaper design we will be having on display at Tent London 2012;  Pretty Flower was our first design for Laura Felicity, and is ever popular for our bespoke commissions.

We decided for the show to  introduce a new retail colourway for our Pretty Flower design, giving the design a warm, autumnal feel.  This colourway is brighter than the original three retail Pretty Flower colours, yet still has the pearlescent binder combined in the screen print ink to give an illusion of different pink tones, which carries on Pretty Flower's sophisticated look.

With options of either metallic silver or gold floral overlays, flock butterflies, additional colour layers of the previously mentioned, plus the option to have an ornate design overlay in metallic foil (as featured in the Modern Elegance Art Print), the bespoke service for the Pretty Flower wallpaper brings texture, depth and a vintage character to this luxury design.

Wallpaper Preview before Tent London, Part 2

Last week I introduced our Geometric Flower wallpaper design in all its bespoke glory with overlay options of gold (or silver) metallic butterflies, as well as the hand cut cream butterflies.

This week I want to give you a sneaky peek before Tent London (starting Thursday 20th September) into the world of Dotty Bird you never knew existed.

The Dotty Bird design is a favourite with Laura Felicity customers, but who knew it could be even more fabulous than it's two layer screen print?  With options of either metallic silver or gold birdcages, machine embroidered blossoms in cotton and glitter threads, or both combined (as featured in the Embroidered Blossom Art Print), the bespoke service for the Dotty Bird wallpaper brings texture, depth and character to this chirpy design.

 The aim behind the bespoke wallpaper is to create something luxurious out of our unique designs.   The Bespoke Wallpaper Service includes the retail wallpaper designs plus patterns can be commissioned to meet individual client's requirements.

The bespoke wallpaper is priced per meter, involving the choice of additional screen printed binder, metallic foil, embroidery, and hand cut patterns layered onto the wallpaper's surface.

Wallpaper Preview before Tent London, Part 1

This week I have been busy screen printing the Geometric Flower pattern with its bespoke options, as part of one of my wallpaper feature walls I will showing at Tent London next week.

For my stand I have created three wallpaper panels from Geometric Flower's design with additional gold metallic butterflies and hand cut cream butterfly overlays, which create a fluttering effect throughout the panels.  Both metallic and hand cut butterfly options are available from the Bespoke Wallpaper Service I provide.

I have also added a new colourway to the retail and bespoke colour range for Geometric Flower, which will be available to purchase after the Trade Show (date to be confirmed) .  With Cream geometric lines and Plum Purple used in one of Dotty Bird's colourways, I think this gives Geometric Flower the sophisticated touch this design needs.

...before the madness begins

It's been a weird summer this year.  Time has flown by and I'm finding it hard to retrace where the days have gone.  Normally the boyfriend and I go away over the Summer, either at the beginning or just a little after the Summer Holidays, but now he has qualified as a Secondary school teacher, all is change.

Plus, this is the first year I am doing a Trade Show during the most important time of year for design; the London Design Festival.  I will be taking part at Tent London from 20th - 23rd September and I couldn't be more excited about it.

This will be a great opportunity for me to show off my Bespoke Wallpaper Service with all eyes focusing on my hand screen printed wallpaper (as well as the high end homewares), which has never been done before in the world of Laura Felicity.

This summer I have had to juggle planning, selling and dispatching orders from Pulse Trade Show held back in June, to getting ready for this event over the last few months.

Because of this and the school term situation, we have found it hard to settle on a date to go away and enjoy the summer before the dark, cold mornings and evenings begin to creep back into our lives.

However amongst all the madness, we were able to go up to Yorkshire for a few days to see my dad's side side of the family.
It was just what we needed because we got to spend some long awaited time with each other, as well as seeing family, go sight seeing and relax before the start of the trade show count down (and term time for him) begins.

We saw the sights of Harrogate, York and Whitby over the course of three days and it couldn't have been more blissfully perfect.

Having time away from all the crazy goings on in your life; whether it be work, relationships, social life, or all the above makes you realise how good it is to relax, enjoy the company you are with at the time and get to let your hair down without stress surrounding you.

You also come away feeling very refreshed and ready to embrace anything that comes your way...

So here's to my next crazy month.  Let's hope the relaxed and embraced feeling stays with me long enough to see me through!

Long Time, No Speak

It's been a little quiet over here at LF HQ due to taking a couple of weeks off over the Summer, plus preparing for Tent Trade Show. 
But rest assured as of tomorrow everything is back on track and raring to go for the trade show count down.

On another note, I have been busy today redecorating the bedroom...what do you think of the first colour?!
