Hello *New* Products two & three

I'm too excited to wait until next week to show you more of the products I've been busy working on for Pulse Trade Show!
...and to show my excitement, instead of releasing one product today I'm going to share two! :)

Please welcome the Dotty Bird Greetings Card and Lavender Bag range...

I really wanted the much loved Dotty Bird design to join the Pretty Flower cards and Lovely Lavender Bags.
This design is such a hit with customers and admirers, I thought it would be a perfect solution to create small gifts and affordable printed cards for people to have as a little present to keep or to give away.
In keeping with Laura Felicity's USP the New Lavender Bags and Greeting Cards are all hand screen printed, making each product unique to the individual.
Each Lavender Bag and Greeting Card comes in three different colours which are in keeping with the Dotty Bird Wallpaper colour ways.

Dotty Bird Lavender Bag, 15cm x 15cm, all colour ways

Each Dotty Bird Lavender Bag has been hand screen printed onto 100% linen and is complimented with a 100% cotton linen fabric reverse.  The Dotty Bird Lavender Bags are filled with the finest British-grown Lavender seeds giving off a beautiful lavender aroma, which is long lasting.  Each lavender bag is hand stitched to finish and has a satin ribbon loop for hanging.
These lavender bags are not only beautiful to look at, but have many different uses;
1) Place the lavender bag in your lingerie drawer or hang up in your clothes closet to keep your garments smelling fresh and scented.
2) Why not use  your lavender bag for aromatherapy reasons; heat it up in the microwave and place on/under your pillow before bedtime to help you relax into a calm sleep.
3) Or freeze your bag to use as an ice cushion for migraines and relax into the lavender scent.

Dotty Bird Greeting Card (Plum Purple & Cream), 15cm x 15cm
Dotty Bird Greeting Card (Teal & Summer Green), 15cm x 15cm
Dotty Bird Greeting Card (Rose Pink & Charleston Grey), 15cm x 15cm

To compliment the Lavender Bags I decided to produce Dotty Bird Greetings Cards.  Each card has been individually hand screen printed in the famous Dotty Bird colour ways on 250gsm card.  The cards have a blank inside making these perfect for all occasions, and are provided with its own envelope.
These handmade cards don't only have to be purchased to create a lovely message inside, why not turn it into a framed art piece.  This is an ideal money saving keep sake or gift idea.

What a perfect excuse to start collecting the Dotty Bird design range with these new products!

Best Wishes,

Laura Felicity

*New Product Sneak Peek Promotion*

The count down is on for Pulse Trade Show 2012!
I have (roughly) 7 weeks until I debut my new product range, and I'm so excited about the new collection!

Since the beginning of 2012, I have been a Busy Bee over at Laura Felicity HQ getting the NEW product range designed, made, photographed and ready for its release at Pulse Trade Show at Earls Court, London from 10th-12th June 2012!

After many long days and nights, I have finally put the finishing touches to the lovely new range and I can not wait to boast and spread the word about them!

This year one of my main business goals was to focus on and strengthen my Homeware Range, and I don't think it will disappoint! With added ranges including new and revamped cushions, hand cut art prints and gorgeous lampshades, Laura Felicity's Homeware Range is looking ever so fabulous and chic!

Each week from today until the first day of Trade, I am going to be giving you little tasters of the wares you can expect to see on my online shop and elsewhere as of June!
...and here's the first product...

Say hello to my Hand Cut Butterfly Art Print...

Hand Cut Butterfly Art Print, Vintage Pink, 23cmx23cm

I really wanted to create three dimensional art prints which are simply intriguing.  Inspired by my hand cut butterflies on the Geometric Flutter Art Print I have hand cut the lovely screen printed Pretty Flower wallpaper into different sized butterflies and arranged them into various linear compositions.
The hand cut butterflies have been machine embroidered onto a card backing, and placed in a lovely three dimensional frame so the fluttering fold ups of each cut out is not lost!

Hand Cut Butterfly Art Print, Antique Cream, 23cmx23cm

The print will be available in the the retail Pretty Flower wallpaper colours; Vintage Pink, Antique Cream and Duck Egg Blue, and is sized 23cm x 23cm.
It is a perfect size to either be hung on the wall, or placed as a table or shelf piece.

Hand Cut Butterfly Art Print, Duck Egg Blue, 23cmx23cm

Something a little extra special about this art print is one of the butterflies has been hand cut from the Modern Elegance Art Print where there is an overlay of gold or silver foil, depending on the colour you choose!
This gives the art print a touch of luxury and depth, yet by keeping the metallic foil cut-out to one butterfly, lets the touch of simplicity still flow within the piece.

We love them already...how about you?!...Let me know!

Best Wishes,

Laura Felicity

Hello :)

As some of you are aware (whilst following on Twitter) I had a thought a few weeks ago about creating my own blog!
For those of you who don't know me, and have come across this blog by chance, I am the Creative Director behind Laura Felicity, a small business based in North London where I hand draw and screen print wallpapers and interior accessories, to create romantically elegant features for your home. Why not take a look!...laurafelicity.co.uk
You can already find me on Twitter (twitter.com/laurafelicity) and I have my own Facebook Page (facebook.com/pages/Laura-Felicity-Contemporary-Surface-Design/127422713940118).
One reason behind doing this blog is because I wanted to branch out even further in the world of Social Networking and share more about what I get up to behind the scenes here at Laura Felicity HQ, that you can't always fit onto other Networking sites.  You will be able to get even more of an understanding of what I do, and the processes behind each product and project...and hopefully enjoy the outcome.
However, I don't want this blog to be all about me...as there are plenty of ways to get updated about that!  I wanted to also create a site where I share my thoughts and finds behind my designs and making, as well as Interior Design.
I also want to create a personal touch to the blog as well and get people thinking more about DIY around the home, and showing how straight forward and satisfying (as well as therapeutic!) it is when you create a project for yourself.  And don't worry, it's not all cut and paste from a book or another blog/website!  I will be doing the DIY myself, and showing you first hand my triumphs and errors!

I'm very exciting to be doing this, and look forward to sharing my first blog with you!

For now, I will leave you with some images of me in screen printing action that will soon be going onto my website (above)!

Blog soon,

Laura Felicity x
